The Port Side sat down with Eric Vos, Claremont McKenna’s new Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residential Life, to discuss his new position and future at Claremont McKenna. Some of Vos’s goals include moving forward in gender neutral housing and fostering a stronger relationship with the student body.
On April 5th, ASCMC Senate elected Jasmine DiLucci as Budget Committee representative and considered funding requests, including one from Pitzer’s Kohoutek Music Festival.
On February 28th, ASCMC Senate voted to establish a $200 Pizza Fund for themselves and passed three funding requests.
ASCMC Senate voted Monday to delay a single funding request for an anti-domestic violence fund raising walk and allocated a $7000 donation.
ASCMC voted last Monday to raise student fees by after a brief debate in ASCMC Senate. The proposal passed, raising next year’s student fees from from $235 to $245, pending approval by Claremont McKenna’s Board of Trustees.
