As Finals Week winds down, we at the Port Side are bringing our ship into harbor after a semester of exciting events and groundbreaking stories and coverage by our staff. Here are some of the highlights.
I have often contemplated Southern California’s obsession with things that need a lot of water. The grassy lawn, not a local species of tree, is the area’s status symbol.
On Thursday, the Claremont McKenna College Administration sent an email to students responding to the countless complaints on campus over access to the newly opened Kravis Center.
One can even question whether a glass building surrounded by a non-functioning reflecting pool was a good use of Henry Kravis’s incredible donation to CMC. But, since it was built, it would sure be nice if the school would allow us to use it.
The Port Side’s first issue for the 2011-2012 school year will hit the racks today: October 19, 2011. Look for it on your campus in dining halls, dorms, the library, and other student buildings.
