It is reprehensible that Dean Vos felt the need to manipulate scores upward, but his reasons for doing so might be more complex than we first assume. I hope that this scandal will result in some reflection about the “priorities” that, in part, led to this entire affair.
The O’Melveny & Myers investigation into the SAT scandal revealed that former Vice President of Admission and Financial Aid Richard Vos misreported more than just SAT scores. A look at the additional misreported data reveals the full extent of his deception.
Free food truck grub? As much as we want? Fitted, soft, and cottony tees? The goal of the food truck rally was to put together some footage of students wearing the “I AM CMC” t-shirts and talking about their favorite things about the College. But was it also in response to the College’s recent bad press?
As their first order of business, the new ASCMC Executive Board invoked a section of the constitutional constitution to cut off the College’s ties with the other four Claremont Colleges, effectively declaring CMC’s secession.
