At the end of last semester, we knew exactly how many students were going abroad in each semester this year. We knew how many freshmen were going to matriculate in the Fall. CMC made living off campus a difficult process last Spring. Why was there no foresight?
Our little room was a hovel of heated debate, swaying towards compromise at one point before suddenly changing course into seemingly insurmountable disagreements in a manner of seconds. Then, without warning, a compromise was reached.

Celebrations erupted across the nation and across the Claremont McKenna College campus. In Washington, D.C., participants in the CMC D.C. Semester Program, celebrated in Lafayette Park outside the White House.
